Canada “bent the curve” to reduce its climate pollution in 2022, oil and gas was still the country’s highest-emitting sector, and Ontario’s growing reliance on gas plants led to the biggest emissions increase of any province, according to data released May 2 in the country’s latest National Inventory Report (NIR).
