Sierra Youth, paired with the non-profit organization Planete SOS — who gave away established milkweed plants — successfully distributed 160,000 wildflower seeds to community members. Residents from Mille-Isles and surrounding towns stopped by to take part in this exciting initiative.
The seeds will be planted in community gardens, schools, and local homes to help restore natural habitats and promote biodiversity. We’re excited about the connections made during the event and look forward to working with many of the attendees in the near future to further habitat restoration efforts and educate youth on sustainable planting practices.”
